The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
It is a comfortable and easy daysailer, and a wonderful boat for teaching someone to sail.
TIGER MOTH DD #159 has been an avid and successful racer in the competitive Marion Fleet and in H Class nationals. She is a good solid boat in good cosmetic shape for her age. Her teak has been stripped and has been oiled instead of varnished to minimize maintenance, but it could be revarnished if desired. Currently she is on a cradle, but a used Triad Lift off trailer is available for an additional $2400.
