OSPREY is a well-maintained 1976 Edey & Duff Doughdish that reflects the timeless design of Nathanael Herreshoff. Equipped with a complete gaff rig, mainsail, jib, cockpit and jib covers, and a full complement of sailing equipment, she is equally suited for relaxed daysailing or one-design racing.
Her varnished brightwork and classic appearance have been carefully maintained, and she is offered with oars, a spinnaker pole, crutch, tiller, and other essential equipment. With annual maintenance complete, OSPREY is ready for her next owner to launch and enjoy immediately.
The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
