MERMAIDS is in exceptional condition, presenting beautifully from her clean topsides to her smooth fair bottom painted with Baltoplate. Her teak is in great shape though stripping and re-varnishing should be considered down the road.
She is well-proven on the racecourse, fast around the buoys or bay and ready to compete at the highest level should you desire to test your sailing prowess in the highly competitive H class.
She comes fully equipped for racing, featuring a new spinnaker, pole and Quissett blocks. Equally convenient, MERMAIDS is road ready on her custom Triad trailer, making it easy to follow the regatta circuit or wherever the season takes you.
The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result, they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
She is currently located in Cataumet, MA, and available to be seen by appointment. Please contact Amy or Matt via Email for more information about this listing or to schedule an appointment for viewing. Or call for Amy or Matt at 508-563-2800.
