LITTLE BOAT was built in 1987 for her current owner. She was sailed extensively on Long Island and eventually Maine. She has been professionally maintained each year with particular attention paid to her brightwork and always stored inside. The Tartan green topsides were repainted in 2007. She is not equipped with a trailer, but one can be ordered and purchased separately if desired.
The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
