LILA was raced on Martha’s Vineyard with smooth VC Offshore Baltoplate bottom paint to give a smooth polished finish for that competitive edge. Her Main and Jib can be quickly trimmed with her Pivot lead blocks. She also has a Velocitek speed puck to monitor speed and heading.
LILA has a Triad trailer to transport her to and from regattas and take her home and you can tuck her in for the winter with the custom winter cover.
The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
