CURLEW was sent to us to find her next owner after spending 28 summers plying the waters of Martha’s Vineyard. She has been professionally maintained through the years as her hull, spars and brightwork are all in good condition. At some point her previous owner had her rudder altered by enlarging its surface. This can be easily returned to the intended design to adhere to class rules.
With her Triad trailer, CURLEW presents the opportunity to purchase a classic small craft at an affordable price.
The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
She is currently located in Cataumet, MA, and available to be seen by appointment. Please contact Amy or Matt via Email for more information about this listing or to schedule an appointment for viewing. Or call for Amy or Matt at 508-563-2800.
