APSARA represents simplicity and value as she is ready to launch and begin her next chapter. She has been professionally maintained over the years and is in great condition for a 44 year old boat. She has one year old sails and a Triad trailer. Should you want to add an auxiliary motor, be it gasoline or electric, she has a side motor mount at the ready. There is also as a mast partner motor mount when the motor is not needed. Unfortunately, a hole was cut into the cockpit soul and through the fiberglass floor to accommodate the skeg of a motor. The hole could be covered with an access plate if desired and other options can be discussed.
The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
