The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
It is a comfortable and easy daysailer, and a wonderful boat for teaching someone to sail.
Doughdish No. 349 was built by Edey and Duff of Mattapoisett, MA in 1995. The boat is in good shape all around with yearly maintenance performed regularly. The bottom was striped and barrier coated in 2015 and no blisters are present. The sale includes working sails in good condition, road trailer, and a 2.3hp outboard. The brightwork and bottom paint would benefit from the winter maintenance.
